Loretta’s Shrimp and Grits

What you need

Ingredients

3 slices Bacon

1 lb Peeled Shrimp

1 tsp Chopped Garlic

¼ c. White Wine or Sherry

½ c. Cream

Cooked Grits

Steps

Fry the bacon in a skillet until crisp-fried and crumbly. Remove the bacon to paper towels to drain. Crumble the bacon. Remove the excess bacon drippings from the skillet. Add the shrimp, garlic and crumbled bacon to the skillet. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the wine, stirring to deglaze the skillet. Cook for 3 minutes. Add the cream. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Serve over hot cooked grits.
